Karachi Airport on High Alert After Passenger Caught with 45 Unrelated Passports

A passenger attempting to travel to Iran via Dubai was apprehended at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, by the Airport Security Force (ASF) for possessing 45 Pakistani passports that did not belong to him. The incident, which occurred during routine luggage scanning at the Jinnah Terminal, raises concerns about potential passport smuggling and highlights the vigilance of Karachi airport security.

The passenger, identified as Muhammad Adnan, reportedly failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for carrying the passports of unrelated individuals. The ASF, following protocol, handed over both Adnan and the seized passports to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation.

Unanswered Questions and Ongoing Investigation

The FIA is currently investigating the purpose behind Adnan carrying such a large number of passports and their intended destination in Iran. Authorities are yet to determine if the passports were stolen, obtained through fraudulent means, or if Adnan was attempting to facilitate illegal immigration.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of robust security measures at airports to prevent potential criminal activity. The vigilance of the ASF in this case successfully thwarted a potential smuggling attempt and protected the integrity of Pakistani travel documents.
